HELLFEST DAY 4 (22.06.2025)
☀️ Morning & Midday – Kicking Off the Finale
Early in the day, Bastardane, featuring Castor Hetfield (son of Metallica’s James Hetfield), broke new ground on the Mainstage 1 with a compelling sludge/thrash set—his voice a strong echo of the legacy, yet strikingly original.
Scandi deathpop punk that woke even the sleepiest attendees, sparking circle pits and smiles.

On the Temple stage, Unto Others delivered goth-tinged heavy metal with brooding depth. Singer Gabriel Franco’s baritone brought a mesmerising darkness to their performance.
🌘 Afternoon – Doom, Industrial, Cyberpunk Clash
• Messa (Valley) brought a hauntingly beautiful progressive doom atmosphere, with Sara’s voice steering listeners into a captivating, introspective soundscape.
• Shaârghot obliterated expectations under the Temple tent. Their industrial-metal spectacle—complete with black-painted bodies and apocalyptic outfits—sparked nonstop slams from start to finish. Fans described it as a “monstrous and prodigious” set that intensified the day’s energy.
🎤 Evening – Genre-Spanning Highlights
The later lineup spanned hiphop, metalcore, and industrial, anchoring the finale with powerful performances :
• Cypress Hill added a hip-hop twist, pumping the energy early evening on the Mainstage.

• On Mainstage 2, A Day To Remember, Falling In Reverse, and Lorna Shore amplified the hardcore/deathcore intensity.
• Lorna Shore delivered emotional extremity; fans praised their raw, unforgettable presence.

• The Valley stage featured legends like Jerry Cantrell, while the Altar stage roared with Dethklok, Cattle Decapitation, and the infamous Gutalax, whose toilet-themed grindcore sparked a playful chaos with toilet-paper antics and inflatable props.
🌙 Night – Linkin Park’s Homecoming
The climax came on Mainstage 1 with Linkin Park headlining at 23:00. Their return to Hellfest reconnected with fans deeply:
• Despite a rocky memory from their 2017 appearance, the 2025 set was praised for its emotional resonance and tighter performance.
• The band balanced nostalgia and modernity: tributes to Hybrid Theory, new renditions like “From the Inside,” and enthusiastic versions of crowd-pleasers including “Good Goodbye”.
• Unfortunately, earlier Bern shows were cancelled due to medical issues, but tonight’s Clisson performance went off without a hitch.

A melting pot of moods and styles, the day culminated in a heartfelt Linkin Park encore that brought fans full circle. Hellfest’s closing chapter was nothing short of epic—a triumph of unity, resilience, and diversity.
